"Fabulous ...

... a perfect combination of words and pictures." So said one member of the audience at the Museum of Wigan Life on International Women's Day.

At Stoke-on-Trent, Thomas Hammersley came along to the “packed” performance at the impressive Potteries Museum and Art Gallery and posted a story on the StaffsLive website. He also included this picture of the new ‘old’ look in performance. Gone is Jackie’s curly red hair and jolly clothing, and here is the formal suit and short grey hair of the older Sylvia Pankhurst.

The table next to Sylvia was also making its first appearance in the show. We picked it up on our zig-zagging way over to Stoke-on-Trent, having spotted it on ebay.

The lighting stand in front of the table was one of the reasons for the zig-zag, as it came from EES Showhire in Retford. We had used them before when we went to Wortley Hall last year, and found them to be excellent, so we have used their services again.

The next performance is at 7.30 p.m. this Saturday (11th March) at our first arts centre of the tour, the Trinity Arts Centre in Gainsborough. After that it is Bolton Socialist Club on Sunday 12th March at 3 p.m.

The two performances at the Museum of Wigan Life were also packed. This is a lovely little museum, and well worth a visit if you are in the area. The audiences there, and at Stoke, were incredibly enthusiastic about the show. Not only were the discussions lively after each performance, but members of the audience are already contacting us about arranging more bookings in these areas!
